THE PURPOSE

Come as you are – to reignite your inner Spark, and connect your mind, body and spirit. Women often put themselves last on the priority list, and the embodiment of this retreat to “fill up your cup.” This is your chance to sneak away to a private oceanfront Villa in a sleepy seaside village, and embark on a SOUL JOURNEY in a safe space for self discovery and truth. It’s also your time to be free, have fun and let go, so enjoy a massage on the beach, delight in the scrumptious local food, or curl up in a hammock with a book or a cocktail, this time is yours and you have permission to INDULGE!

THE REASON

Women are divine beings often spending time comparing themselves to other women instead of elevating one another and working together as a support system. By coming to this retreat we plan on pealing off the layers, letting go of any factors holding us back, digging deep to unveil our feminine powers, all while connecting with our tribe.

THE WAY

We strike a balance between solo, reflective time, and social time. Through self-care practices, intelligently sequenced warming flows, meditations and walks on the beach, powerful daily intentions, and SOUL ACTIVATING inner work, we will become the embodiment of love and the bricklayers of a cooperative human future. Expect to rid yourself of negativity through dance and movement, healing rituals, and emotional exercises that aid in the transformative process of LETTING GO and AWAKENING THE DIVINE FEMININE WITHIN YOU!

THE LOCATION

Copal Retreat is situated on the coast of the Riviera Maya, in a beach town called Paamul. It is an hour away from the Cancun International Airport, 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 20 minutes north of Tulum.

THE VILLA

Casa Copal is an ocean-front villa in the Riviera Maya. Our rooftop studio space offers panoramic views of the Caribbean ocean, perfect for daily sunrise or sunset practices. Our acclaimed in-house chef delivers three meals a day with an exquisite menu offering deep Mexican roots with contemporary style influences, local and ethical ingredients, and will follow any dietary restrictions you may have.

The villa faces the beautiful waters of the Caribbean ocean and cohabitates with an abundance of coconut palm trees, flowers, hermit crabs, iguanas, pelicans, and other jungle and tropical beings. The Villa is situated beside an isolated and ungroomed coastline beach that is a sanctuary for turtles, a five-minute bike ride through the jungle. It is also next to another public beach with white sand that is a three-minute walk away. There are kayaks, paddle boards, beach bikes, and hammocks to use in your free time. Our beautiful suites are all steps away from the beach pool, the common space, and our rooftop studio space. We have beach-front and courtyard suite options, each offering two double beds and we offer either private or double occupancy suites.

THE FOOD

The food at the Villa is fresh, plentiful, healthy and delicious with a Mexican flare. The meal plan is based on the philosophy of “from the earth to your plate.” Our in-house chef and staff, deliver breakfast lunch and dinner for our guests. The menu has deep rooted Mexican dishes with contemporary style influences. The chef caters to any dietary restrictions or preferences a guest may have. We use local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, rich cultural Mexican techniques, and most importantly, lots of love in the food we serve. Three meals are served daily, and fresh fruit and tea and infused water is available at all times.

Cocktails are not included, however, this is also a RETREAT FOR YOUR TASTEBUDS so feel free to INDULGE!

THE ITINERARY

Plan to arrive on Saturday May 15th and depart on Friday May 21st, 2021 for the May Retreat.

Or plan to arrive on Saturday November 6th and depart on Friday November 12th.

The itinerary is curated by Tiffany, your guide and Yoga Instructor as well as your local hosts; proud Mexicans who are passionate about teaching others about Mexican culture while having a lot of fun doing it. On top of the daily sunrise and sunset practices of yoga, healing sessions and women’s circles overlooking the Caribbean waters, the Itinerary also offers a beautiful Mayan sound bowl therapy session for the opening ceremony amongst the ocean breeze, perfect for a spiritual and mental cleanse. There is a tour to a cenote, a fresh water sinkhole in the middle of the jungle, a lunch and beach day at a pristine beach club in Tulum and a tour to some ancient Mayan Ruins as well as and a one-hour massage session on the beach. An optional night out in Playa del Carmen on the famous Fifth Avenue can also be arranged! Whether you are cliff jumping in the jungle or reading a book on a hammock under a palm tree, the itinerary has the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. THIS is a week to live in rhythm with nature’s cycles.

THE YOGA PRACTICE AND BEYOND

Tiffany is a trauma recovery certified E-RYT 200 yoga instructor and mindfulness and embodiment coach who will guide you through a safe yoga practice and inner work exercises. Morning classes will be all-level Vinyasa style, appropriate for most practitioners with some yoga experience. Experienced practitioners will be invited to deepen the practice according to the body’s needs. Afternoon sessions will focus on the inner work, as we explore our own personal boundaries and rise above the barriers that hold us back.

WHAT TO EXPECT: On your first evening of arrival, we will meet for dinner and then continue with The Welcoming Ceremony and Sound Bowl session under the stars. You will start each day with morning yoga and a women’s circle, followed by a delicious healthy breakfast. There will be time to enjoy the sunshine, relax, read, get a massage or explore as we have access to bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling gear. After all the yoga, healthy eating, discussion and sunshine, you will return home as a healthier and happier you – body, mind and spirit.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE:

Arrival on Saturday May 15th – 7:00 pm dinner, followed by 8:30 pm Sound Healing Welcoming Ceremony. Since this is a travel day, no other meals will be provided.

Sunday the 16th – Sunrise Soul Flow Yoga and Women’s Circle, 9 am breakfast, Free time for sunshine, swimming, a beach massage, or exploring on your own. Then Lunch and relaxation followed by 4:30 pm-5:30 pm afternoon Inner work Session, and 7 pm Dinner.

Monday the 17th – 8:00-10:30 am same as the 16th, with a Cenote Excursion, then 6:30 pm Dinner, 8:00 pm Candlelight Inner Work session

Tuesday the 18th – Sunrise Soul Flow Yoga followed by a Tour to the Mayan Ruins and lunch and afternoon at Tulum Beach. Dinner will be back at the Villa.

Wednesday the 19th – Optional SUP Yoga if available, and then 5 pm Embodiment Workshop followed by dinner at 7 pm. Optional night out in Playa Del Carmen.

Thursday the 20th – Same as the 16th to allow for enjoyment of your final full day. 7 pm dinner with closing Burning Ceremony.

Friday the 21st – Sunrise Soul Flow Yoga and 9:00 am breakfast to accommodate early departures. Since this is a travel day, no other meals will be provided.

This sample itinerary would be repeated for November as well.

LOGISTICS

• Fly into & out of the Cancun, Mexico airport. Arrive suggested by early afternoon on first day and depart anytime on final day.

• You will need a valid passport when entering & leaving the country. Plan accordingly.

• Rooms are booked first come / first serve – doubles generally fill first. First included meal is dinner on first night & last included meal is breakfast on final day.

As simple as this may sound, and as cheesy as this video may be, there really are a ton of benefits in turning the act of drinking a cup of tea, into a mindful ritual.

Of course I shot this video BEFORE the days of quarantined life, and now drinking tea is something I do with my kids running around me squealing lol! However, it doesn’t take away the enjoyment of such a simple act.

Lastly, remember you can do anything for 5 minutes so why not to do something positive for your well being. 💕

Why Floating is Therapeutic!

I don’t know about you, but this is the time of year that I start craving some Vitamin Sea!

Did you know that floating in nature, or feeling weightless in a hammock, or even utilizing a “flotation tank”, also known as a “sensory deprivation chamber” has many benefits! It is most often used as a method for relaxation and to boost creativity. It can allow one to engage in a deep meditative state, regardless of meditation experience.

I get it, it’s hard to get outdoors when you would rather stay cozied up inside where it’s warm, but did you know that walking in nature can decrease depression, improve your wellbeing and mental health, and lower perceived stress???

Sometimes all we have is 5 minutes!! So this is just a friendly reminder to try and spend those 5 minutes doing something POSITIVE for yourself!!
